If you’re reading this page, you’re a good person because it clearly shows that you care about your local library enough to want to help us out. Fortunately, there are several great ways that you can help us and your community:
Cash Donations
If you would like to make a cash donation, we accept cash, checks, money orders, and we will soon be able to accept credit card donations through PayPal. Please be sure your check is made out to: COMMUNITY DISTRICT LIBRARY. Your donation will help us purchase books, DVDs, audiobooks, and many other materials for our libraries.
Adopt-a-Book/DVD/Music CD/Etc.
You can browse through our Amazon.com Wish List and purchase an item for us there. Your generosity will be noted on the item you purchase or it can be made an annonymous donation. Simply specify your preference when you make the purchase on Amazon.com. You can help specific libraries by buying things from their wish lists:
- Bancroft Library
- Byron Library
- Corunna/Caledonia Twp. Library
- Lennon Library
- Morrice Library
- New Lothrop Library
- Perry Library
Join or Start a Friends of the Library Group
We have two Friends of the Library Groups started right now. One supports the Corunna/Caledonia Twp. location and the other supports the Perry Location. Please let us know if you are interested in joining these groups. If you would like to start a group for the Bancroft, Byron, Lennon, Morrice, or New Lothrop locations, we can help with that too! Simply Contact Us.
Donate Unused Books, Audio CD’s, and DVD’s
Clear out your shelves and give your gently used books, audio CD’s, and DVD’s a new life by donating them to the library! We are particularly interested in materials that are of local interest. Any materials that do not get added to our collection will be included in a book sales that we hold several times during the year.
Share Your Talent
Are you awesome at something? Come put on a program at your local library! In the past, we have had patrons come do free programs on building a small electric motor, landscape painting, painting rocks, making jewelry, effectively using coupons, making gross looking (but delicious) snacks out of pantry staples, and so much more. We even have volunteers come do clown performances and throw princess tea parties as well! These programs are a lot of fun and they are a fantastic way to get in touch with members of your community.
