CORUNNA — The Community District Library this week announced Cathy Cramner, its Corunna branch librarian, was the inaugural recipient of the Anna Pavlica Customer Service award.
Pavlica was a librarian for the Perry CDL branch and passed away Feb. 11 at the age of 73. Officials said she was a huge part of the Perry library, working there for 31 years as a library assistant.
“Every year we will be giving the award to someone in her honor who show their dedication,” CDL Director Jami Cromley.
“Cathy does a lot for CDL,” Cromley said. “We appreciate her stepping up. There wouldn’t be a lot done without her.”
Cramner, in addition to being the Corunna branch librarian, is in charge of the CDL website and Facebook pages.
“I’m very honored,” Cramner said. “Anna was a very special person.”
