CDL Hosts Michigan Reads! Author Tour
Michigan Author Denise Brennan-Nelson
CDL was excited to be one of the stops on the 2012 Michigan Reads! author tour. Michigan author Denise Brennan-Nelson was on hand to read her book, “Buzzy the Bumblebee”, as well as the current Michigan Reads! book, “Moose on the Loose” by Kathy-jo Wargin.
The reading and book signing was held on September 8th at the Perry City Hall. Those in attendance got to meet Brennan-Nelson and learned about book illustrations too.

Own the Night Teen Writing Contest Winners!
CDL is pleased to announce the winners of the 2012 Own the Night summer writing contest. The young authors were each awarded a certificate and a $25 gift card. The winners were ~ Robert London a 6th grader at Morrice Elementary, Chloe Dingens a 7th grader at Corunna Middle School, Evan Wendling a 6th grader at New Lothrop Elementary, Sarah Bishop a 9th grader at Morrice High School, Ila Tuller a 6th grader at Corunna Middle School and Danielle Wendling a 4th grader at New Lothrop Elementary.
