The City of Corunna Police Chief, Kim Williams, was on hand at the CDL’s End of Summer Reading Petting Zoo Extravaganza! Participants were given the opportunity to explore several vehicles that were provided by local business and to visit with bunnies, cows, kittens, dogs, ducks and turkeys too!

Snowball the chinchilla paid a visit to several of the CDL branches during June and July! An armadillo, Burmese python, tortoise and anteater were just a few of the critters that greeted the participants.

Two special performances will take place at the Corunna/Caledonia Branch of the Community District Library on Saturday, July 28th in conjunction with an end of Summer Reading Extravaganza and Petting Zoo. The zoo will feature live animals, big trucks and other large equipment. The extravaganza is to celebrate the patrons who visited all seven locations of CDL during the summer reading program, however everyone is welcome to attend. The Corunna/Caledonia Branch is located at 210 E. Corunna Avenue.
Award winning musical entertainer, Rick Kelley, will perform at 10:30 a.m. Kelley’s interactive, energetic and extremely fun performances are designed to inspire people to get involved! The founder of the Flying Aces Pro Frisbee Team, Brian Hayes, and his dogs will perform Frisbee feats of wonder in the street just north of the library at 1:00 p.m. The audience will be amazed by the aerial dexterity of the dogs and Hayes’ skill with a Frisbee. The program is filled with excitement, humor and spectacular athletic tricks.
