Maker Kits

Maker Kits have arrived at the library! Introducing a new circulating collection of Maker Kits for our toddler to teen patrons.  What are Maker Kits?  It's a twist on the the maker movement and maker spaces. Our branches may have limited space and hours, but our goal is to provide unlimited creating, inventing and learning.  Each kit includes an activity and a book related to that activity.  Activities range from Lego's and wood blocks to Ozobots, 3D Pens,  Makey Makey's and Snap Circuits. A variety of skills and interests include:

  • Coding
  • Electronics
  • Circuits
  • Robotics
  • Engineering
  • Animation
  • Movie Making
  • Sewing
  • Science

Maker Kits are partially funded by a generous grant provided by the the Shiawassee Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council.
