Frequently Asked Questions
Public Computers: No computer available? Use ours!
All you need is your library card or guest pass – and a flash drive if you want to save your files. Computers have internet access and are equipped with Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word. Computers are filtered to comply with Children’s Internet Protection Act or CIPA. Patrons 18 years or older may request staff to unblock content within the bounds of Community District Library Computer Use Policy.
Byron and New Lothrop branches cannot unblock computer content due to the branch locations inside schools.
Free wireless Internet access is available to the public at the following branch locations: Bancroft, Corunna, Lennon, Morrice and Perry. So if you have a laptop or other WiFi-enabled device, head on over to your nearest library branch and get connected!
