COVID Response Plan

Community District Library has a COVID Response Plan in place so that our branches can safely remain open to the public.   Please read the library's Covid-19 Exposure Prevention, Preparedness and Response Plan for full details. The plan was created in accordance with Center For Disease Control safety measures.

Safety measures include but are not limited to: public capacity limits in branches, masks are required by staff and patrons if medically able to wear (otherwise curbside service is available), social distancing inside buildings and at computers between staff and patrons, plexiglass barriers (sneeze guards) installed at all staff/public service desks, materials handling procedures will be followed by staff to properly and safely handle library materials, strict cleaning and disinfecting schedule for high volume surfaces touched by the public.  All in branch programming has been cancelled and Summer Reading events have been moved to virtual events.
