This story time is presented by Alyssa Candy, Family Advocate & Prevention Trainer with Voices For Children Advocacy Center. A description of the event follows:
ROAR is an empowering, age-appropriate prevention program that helps kids learn about body safety and how to protect themselves in unsafe situations.
The ROAR acronym stands for:
- Remember: Privates are Private
- Okay to Say No
- Always Talk About Secrets
- Raise Your Voice and Tell Someone
Our friendly lion mascot, Rex, helps bring the program to life and encourages kids to feel confident, safe, and strong. Through stories, discussions, and activities, children learn these important safety rules in a fun, engaging way.
