Technology To Go - Tablets, Chromebook Kits and Hotspots

Library card holders 18 years and older can check out Tablets, Chromebook Kits and Hotspots for 2 weeks at a time.

Tablets are Samsung Galaxy Lite Android tablets with free built-in wireless internet access and Wi-Fi capability to use for work, school and personal browsing.

Hotspots are mobile devices that provide the user with high-speed Wi-Fi internet access. Users can connect up to 15 devices to a hotspot at one time. Hotspots use the Verizon wireless network.

A Chromebook is a laptop computer that runs on Google's Chrome OS.  Files are not stored locally on the device, but in the cloud or on removable media. Each kit contains a hotspot for anywhere internet is needed.

Tablets, Chromebook Kits and Hotspots are provided via grant funding through the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) and the funding is available through June 30th, 2022.
